RASAero II Optimizer — Wiki¶
Version covered: Assignment 14 / installed Windows build 1.0.1. Purpose: optimize fin geometry using candidate-specific RASAero II altitude predictions, static-stability constraints, optional empirical flutter screening, and RocketPy diagnostics.
Begin here¶
Quick Start: your first optimization — install/open, load a .CDX1, choose fin parameters, set screening options, run, inspect results, and export.

Current evidence¶
Assignment 14 documented six unique RASAero/RocketPy evaluations; one candidate satisfied all active constraints. The best feasible RASAero altitude was 21,163 ft and the unrestricted winner was 21,638 ft. This is a bounded example, not a globally optimal design.
Not yet verified in the Assignment 14 handoff: completing the GUI Save As export, reopening the study from a fresh process, and active pause/resume/stop.
